Netanyahu must go, says former Israeli PM Bennett

Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu must depart from power. He said this in an interview on television.

However, Bennet did not say anything about whether he had any desire to compete against Netanyahu by participating in the elections again.

Bennett gave that interview to Israeli Channel Twelve. The interview was aired on Saturday. Bennett said, “Netanyahu has been in power for 20 years … it’s too much, it’s not good.”

According to Bennett, the major responsibility of the division that has been in Israeli society falls on Netanyahu.

The former Prime Minister and the right -wing leader said, “Netanyahu has to leave.”

Netanyahu is on the one hand, as there are strong supporters, there are many strict critics. These critics have also raised their voice against Netanyahu’s role in the Israeli war in Gaza since October 2021.

In 2021, Bennett came to power with various parties against Netanyah. In the meantime, Netanyahu’s 12 -year rule ended.

However, the coalition government, which formed with the current opposition leader Yar Lapid, was broken in almost a year. Then the election took place, and Netanyahu became the Prime Minister again in support of the right -wing and Jewish parties.

The rumor of Bennett’s return to Bennett, who has taken some breaks from politics, is now strong. Public opinion survey says he can get the support of defeating Netanyahu again if he wants.

However, there are no plans to be held before the end of 2021. Although it is not uncommon to have advance elections in Israel.

In the interview, Bennett claimed that he had laid the basis of the plan on Iran’s nuclear and military establishment.

Bennet also said the decision on the attack against Iran was very good and it was needed. Bennet claimed that the attack would not have been possible if the short -lived government led by him had not already prepared.

On October 7, 2021, the Palestinian independent organization Hamas attacked in Israel. In response to this, Israel has been in the Gaza since that day.

In the interview, Bennett also spoke about Gaza. According to him, the Israeli army has shown extraordinary craft in this regard. However, the political management of the country is catastrophic.

Bennett criticized the Netanyahu government’s ‘decision -making’. He thinks that the ‘integrated’ agreement needs to be made immediately to release those who are still hostage in Hamas in Gaza.

Pointing to Netanyahu, Bennett said, “Leave the responsibility of eliminating Hamas on any future government.”

However, Bennett himself has avoided some questions about whether to participate in the elections.
